I did make a whole bunch of cards for my cousins wedding and my Aunt & Uncle's anniversary party, but I forgot to take pictures. I have no AC in my scraproom so the crafting will me minimal this summer. Way too hot to do much!! I did manage to sneak in 3 cards tonight for co-workers. 2 who just found out the are pregnant and 1 who's wife had theri first baby last week. Hope you like them!!!

Booked my cruise!!

I am so excited!! I booked my free cruise for October and I can't wait to go!! 140 more days, LOL!! Yes I said free!! To make a long story short, I went on a cruise last Nov with my parents and won a free 4 day Bahamas cruise on a raffle they had. I was so shocked cause I NEVER win anything!! So I decided to take my oldest niece and nephew (had to pay for one of them since the cruise was only for 2 people) They both are graduating from high school next week. Sad!! But anyways, i decided to take them as their grad present. They will be so surprised!! Can't wait to give it to them next week!!

Disney LO's

So here are most of my Disney LO's I have been working on. I still have about 10 more pages to go to finish the book. Also not all the pages are quite finished yet. I need to add a few titles and journaling to them yet but wanted to start sharing them anyway. Hope you enjoy them!!

Taking the plunge!!!

Well, Uncle Sam or I should say Uncle Bush is giving me free money on Monday!! I think this stimulus payment is really dumb but since I am getting $600. care of George Bush, I am going to treat myself and buy an Expressions machine. It's the first of all the dumb things that our president has done that I am actually benefiting from. So thanks President Bush for my machine!!

Been a while!!

So I slacked again and haven't posted for a while. The truth is, it's because I have been busy actually scrapping. You know all that stuff we spend hundreds of dollars shopping for but never seem to use any of , Well, I actually dove into my stash and used it for once!!

OK, well mostly because of my weekend long crop I went to. It was pretty fun. I enjoyed myself. 2 of my friends had to cancel at the last minute so it was just Alexis and I but we still had fun. I was able to get 60 pages done. Yes, I said "60". I was very organized before so it was easy to get pages done quickly doing that. Since I have almost 130 pages for my Disney album, I knew I had to be this way.

Since I have come back from the crop I have done about another 25. And tomorrow I have our Cricut Swarm to attend so I am hoping to get lots more finished then as well. Once I am all finished I will post lots of pics.

But now I need to go pack my things for the Swarm!! I will update more Sunday!

The countdown to my weekend scrap retreat is on!!

Only 5 more days to go!! WOO HOO!!! I am so excited! I really haven't had the time to scrap lately so I am really looking forward to having so much time to do it. 48 hours of non stop scrappin!!! I don't plan on sleeping much!! Everything is packed up and ready to go. Just need the time to go by so that I can be on my way!

Now the only dilemma I am having is that I have way too many pictures. I have almost 126 pages to do for my Disney book. I have them all organized in the page protectors with coordinating papers and embellishments. I figured the more organized I am now, the more I will get done there. Since I have so much to do, I need to be prepared as much as possible. Anyways, I think I need to split them up and make two books. Something that i really don't want to do. I like when people can look at one of your books in one showing and see your entire trip in a whole. I am not too happy about that and now I need to look for another album. That should be fun!! Took forever for me to find the one I have now. I should just check into getting a second one of the one I have. Wish me luck finding it!!

More shopping and piture dilema!

OK, so I was able to find the in Stich'z from http://www.embellishonline.com/. I am so excited!! I have been wanting them for so long with no luck. Well, most places have them, but not the ones that I wanted.

Last night I decided to start organizing the pictures I want to do for my Disney book while at my crop next month. I narrowed my pics for each LO and started putting them into the sleeves of my book. So here comes the problem. The book had an original 20 pages. I added about 30 more and guess what? I haven't even used up 1/2 of my pictures and I am out of sleeves. This is going to be a HUGE book. I need to go buy about 4 more packs maybe even more. We took almost 3,000 pictures while there and I want to show everything. So, how do you narrow down your pics when you have so many? Usually I only do 2-3 pics of something but since I am making a book just for this trip, I want everything in it. Have you ever gotten carried away and scrapped everything?? What did you do to simplify your book. Any ideas would be helpful.

What would you do????

So I think I realized why I haven't been into scrapping so much lately. Back when I started scrapping I used to store all my supplies in a corner in my mom's living room. Everything would be just thrown into a tote. It was such a mess. I would drag all my stuff into the kitchen and scrap away. I could go on like this for days with no stop.

Well, about a year ago, I decided to re-do my bedroom and make a small corner my scrap area. (You can see the pics in one of my past post below). Anyways, my stuff is now all nice and organized unlike how it was before, But now I NEVER scrapbook. I want to, I just don't. The thing is, the space is so small that I feel like I am so closed in, I don't feel like doing anything in there anymore. In order to get into a cabinet, I have to close my armoire. Who wants to do that? I only get stuff done at a crop which are few and far between. I do have the 2 coming up but I have so much to do, I still don't think I will finish them all at them.

So now, what do I do to get out of this funk?

I do have one solution but it requires so much work and I really don't feel up to it. You would think I would be ecstatic, but I am not. My parents have a spare bedroom that used to be our computer room and a storage room. We no longer have a PC, both have laptops. Mom uses hers in the living room and I use mine in my bedroom. So my mom said I can use the back room as a scrap room but I have to clean it. I could have my own scrap room!! Yaaayyyy!!!

But there is one problem. There is sooooo much stuff in there. Boxes, totes, bags among other things. It's not dirty, just cluttered. It is also where she does her ironing so the iron and ironing board must stay. I really don't feel like clearing it out. Where would I put everything?? Plus Henry and I have been talking about buying a house in the near future and I don't feel like setting everything up and then have to pack it all again to move.

So now what do I do?? Deal with my small space and just make it work until I move? Clear out the back room and make it my own temporarily? Or just scrap at crops when I can and not do anything at home?? What would you do????

Been a while

OK, So I don't exactly keep up with this blog. I am really bad at it as you can see.

So what have I been up too since my last post. Well, the craft show I went to to sell my cards was a total waste of time. I think I made 75 cards in all and came home with 73 of them. My parents did take the cards to a few of their other craft shows with no luck either. Over 3 months of craft shows, I sold about 7 cards. Guess people rather go to the dollar store and buy those cheesy looking basic cards that are BORING!!!! Well, look on the bright side, I have many cards that now have ready when in a pinch and don't have to buy or make one.

I went on a cruise to the Bahamas with my parents in Nov. Was a fun time. Although I was sick our 1st and last day. My mother fell when we were touring Atlantis and broke her foot. Well, they said it was sprained and she just had it wrapped and was in a wheelchair the rest of the cruise and when we got home, the x-rays showed it was broken. On a good note, I won a free cruise when we were on the ship. I won it drinking!!! No it's not what you think. I wasn't getting loaded or anything. Over a 3 day period, every time you bought a drink made with Malibu Rum (My favorite) you got an entry form. Well, I had just a few drinks and on the last day, they pulled my name out and I won! I was in total shock. I never win ANYTHING!!

The holidays were great. Busy running around shopping and making sure I visited everyone. I love being with all the family but it does become exhausting after a while and I am now glad they are over.

We did go to Walt Disney World in early Feb. We went for 6 days. I haven't been there in 14 years and Henry hasn't in 12 so we were almost like 1st timers. It was a blast!! We had so much fun. It was great to be 30 somethings and get to act like children and get away with it. We decided we will be going back about every 2 years or so in the future.

As far as my scrapping, Well, there hasn't been too much of that going on lately. I really haven't had the time. I did manage to go for a night with a fellow Cricut sister to a crop for a few hours. I did about 8 pages but no titles or journaling. Need to go back and finish them all. I am going on a weekend long crop in April. Can't wait. I have so much to do. Pretty much all of my 2007 stuff plus the cruise and Disney. Think I will just do Disney stuff that weekend. We took over 3000 pictures so I will have plenty to scrap and will keep me busy. I can work on the other things on other weekends.

OK, well I think I got you all caught up. I promise to post more regularly and keep you up to date. Thanks for looking!!
